Cooperstown Borough June 2, 2025, Meeting Minutes
Jerry Ritchey opened with prayer. The meeting was called to order by Council President Brenda Schwab and opened with The Pledge of Allegiance.
In attendance were Wally Fox, Rick Armburger, Curt Brown, Mike Meyer
Guest Speaker – Wally Fox had flyers and information for June Car Cruise and discussed a new borough sign be purchased with the Alumni Park money
Minutes were read and approved by Bonnie and Barb
Bills approved by Jerry and Barb
Council discussed mowing of creek banks and will ask Finn
Website additions and dates – community events to be added
Discussion of code enforcement of properties needing mowed – will contact Bob Jamison
Ditching –water company -contact to mark lines to locate – 12”-15” pipe needed – if culvert is fixed, it may solve ditching issue
Trees need trimmed at library corner – borough will trim
ATV ordinances – signs are ordered and going to be posted
Committee Report updates:
- Emergency Management
- Streets – cold patch will fill holes
- Equipment – maintenance on John Deere and Kubota axle seal
- Parks and Recreation
- Fire Department
- Sewage and Drainage
- Pioneer Cemetery- Rick mentioned a “dedication” of cemeteries and had a contact for a man who will research history of those buried
- Christmas Island – Bill will work on the trailer tongue
Public Comment – Curt suggested code enforcer or lawyer to send letters to residents about mowing
Adjournment was called at 7:54 and approved by Barb and Jerry
